About the Program

The Sustainable Technology Optimization Research Center (STORC) is a highly collaborative teaching and learning model. The goal of STORC is to research, develop, and demonstrate innovative systems based on sustainable technologies by using a faculty-led, student-centered collaboration between different scientific disciplines. 

Interdisciplinary participation in STORC includes professors and students from Natural Science and Mathematics, Engineering and Computer Science, Social Science and Interdisciplinary Studies, and from various administrative offices such as Environmental Health and Safety, Risk Management, and Facilities Management.


Getting Started

If you are CSUS faculty or staff member with an interest in submitting a project proposal, please follow the instructions below:

1. Download and complete the STORC Statement of Work Proposal.

2. Email the completed form to the ECS Dean's Office Assistant at Please follow the provided naming conventions for the proposal form (name, project title, date).

3. You will receive notification of the proposal's status by the STORC Director within 5 business days.
