On behalf of the Faculty Student Mentor Program we are accepting applications for both paid and volunteer tutors to assist students with their coursework in the Academic Success Center in Santa Clara Hall room 1207 beginning this semester. The paid positions are paid approximately 10 dollars per hour.

We are interested in upper division or graduate ECS students that have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to students that have completed lower division ECS coursework at Sacramento State. The tutoring schedule will probably fall between the hours of 10am to 4pm Monday through Thursday depending on the availability of each tutor. The amount of hours tutors can perform services each week could range from 2 to 10 depending on the schedule of each tutor and the demand for tutoring services.

To apply for a tutoring position please complete the FSMP Tutor Application Form and return it to the email address provided on the bottom of the application. It is important to follow the instructions on the application which provide information on how to name your attachment. The application form is available from the COMPLETE ARTICLE link provided above.

This is an opportunity to work or volunteer on campus without the inconveniences of driving to another work location and to help students reach their academic goals.
