Testing Centers

ELM/EPT: The California State University (CSU) has made sweeping changes to their developmental education policy for admitted students. As a result, beginning October 1, 2017, the English Placement Test (EPT) and Entry-Level Mathematics Exam (ELM) will no longer be offered. See the ELM/EPT Press Release for more info.

Chemistry Diagnostic Exam: To enroll in CHEM 1E (needed for ALL engineering majors) students must complete the diagnostic test prior to enrollment. 

Math Diagnostic Exam (ALEKS PPL Placement Assessment: To enroll in pre-calculus (MATH 29) or calculus 1 (MATH 30), students must take the diagnostic exam.

The Intermediate Algebra Diagnostic (IAD) and Calculus Readiness (CR) test are no longer being offered. The department is now using the ALEKS PPL Placement Assessment.

Writing Placement for Juniors (WPJ): All students must take the WPJ in order to take a writing intensive course to meet a requirement for graduation.
