California State University, Sacramento
E&EE Financial Assistance

There are three categories of student-employed positions at CSUS:
orange bullet Teaching Associate (TA)
orange bullet Student Assistant (SA)
orange bullet Graduate Assistant (GA)

Before being considered for any position, the student must enroll in a minimum number of units and submit an application to the E&EE Department Office.  New E&EE graduate students are not usually considered for E&EE teaching assistantships during their first semester at CSUS.  TA positions are filled by the E&EE Department Chair.

However, faculty frequently request student graders. New students are eligible for these SA positions.  Resumes submitted to the department office are kept on file and given to faculty requesting assistance.  These positions are coordinated by the department staff.  Under no circumstances can a student assistant work prior to submitting an authorized Student Personnel Transaction Form to the ECS Dean's office.

Research grants are occasionally available for which Graduate Assistants are hired.   Faculty actively seeking research assistants advertise either through the department office or on their Web page. http://www.ecs.csus.edu/eee/

Frequently, other academic departments on campus hire Electrical & Electronic Engineering students for their positions. Look for postings on bulletin boards and web pages.
