Scholarships
The following scholarships are offered for AY 2005/2006: (updated 04/05)
- Society of American Military Engineers (apply by April 20, 2005) Application
- Electric Power Education Institute (EPEI)
The Electric Power Education Institute, housed within the department and supported by local industry, provides annual scholarships for upper-division students interested in power engineering.A notice is posted during the fall semester and awards are distributed at the May EPEI meeting. Applicants are required to provide statments supporting their interest.(apply early spring 2004) - Engineering General Scholarship
of CSUS
Engineering General Scholarship of CSUS provided $500/semester to qualified applicants. GPE, class-level and enrollment determine qualified applicants. Applications are available in Riverside Hall 2014. - James C. Hathaway Scholarship
James C. Hathaway Scholarship awards full tuition and fees for freshman, sophomore and juniors meeting GPA, enrollment and financial aid criteria. Applications are accepted at the beginning of each fall semester.(apply spring 2004) - Joe Serna, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Joe Serna, Jr. Memorial Scholarship, established in honor of former Mayor and CSUS Professor Joe Serna, Jr., is designed for incoming freshman with career interests in Government, Construction Management and Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. One award of $2,500, renewable for two consecutive years (freshman and sophomore). GPA and a "committment to education" are qualifications. Industry Partners' Scholarship, open to undergraduates, awards $1,000 or $2,000 per semester to qualified students. Minimum GPA of 2.5. Apply on-line at: www.ecs.csus.edu - Que Andrada Scholarship
Que Andrada Scholarship awards $1,000 per semester, renewable up to a total of $3,000 starting spring semester. Any major field of Engineering or Computer Science; freshman, sophomore or junior class level; and a GPA of 2.5 qualifies students. Apply online at: www.edu.csus.edu - Intel Scholarship
Intel Scholarship for under-represented or non-traditional CSUS students majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It awards $1000 per semester (two disbursements per year) renewable every semester for a total of four years based a GPA, math and physics preparation, SAT/ACT scores and student activites/work experience. Applications are available in Riverside Hall 2014. - Additional scholarships may be available. Notices are posted outside Riverside Hall 2014 and on official-business-only bulletin boards next to the Riverside Hall elevators or at www.ecs.csus.edu
