Admission
Freshman Admission Criteria: Meeting CSUS
admission criteria qualifies students for the EEE major.
Generally, freshman must be high-school graduates, have
a qualifying eligibility index and have completed (with
grades of C or better) each course in the pattern of college
preparatory subject requirements. Complete information
can be found in the CSUS
Catalog.
Recent Revisions: Beginning with the fall 2003
semester, the CSUS pattern of college preparatory courses
will be the same as the UC system. The subject requirements
are readily available at high school counseling offices
and distributed by high schools.
Major Selection: Freshman students are
admitted as Pre-EEE majors and must apply for EEE major
status after completing three semesters of lower-division
course work. Registration in most engineering courses
is restricted to specific major codes. Therefore, failing
to apply for EEE major status in a timely fashion will
prohibit upper-division, phone-in registration.
To change your major status from Pre-EEE to EEE, complete
a Electrical & Electronic Engineering Change of
Major form and return it to the E&EE Department
Office, Riverside Hall 3018.
