Program Goals
The goals of the E&EE program are to offer a curriculum that will be distinctive and dynamic, to reflect the opportunities available in industry and the strengths of our department. The department will strive for continuous improvement of the curriculum, integrating new computer tools and applications in electrical engineering courses, and adopt new techniques for the delivery of electrical engineering education including multimedia and distance learning
Our goals are to provide the graduates with:
Broad based knowledge in electrical engineering built upon a solid understanding of mathematics, science, and basic engineering.
Advanced study in a variety of electrical and electronic engineering topics and an opportunity for students to conduct independent research and to broaden their professional scope.
The ability to apply fundamental electrical engineering concepts to complex situations and with a balanced professional education which enables them to function well in the profession of engineering.
The ability to communicate effectively, take leadership, and work individually and within a team.
A solid understanding of professional and ethical responsibility and the ability to understand and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
