The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at California State University Sacramento (CSUS) participates in the Cadnece University Software Program. Cadence PSPICE circuit simualtion software is heavily used in the undergraduate curriculum.

In general, circuit simulators provide students with the capability to simulate the response of an electrical or electronic circuit to defined inputs. Hence it is a valuable tool as it allows students to visualize a circuit's behavior without having to construct it. Candece PSPICE has schematic capture, circuit simulation, and post-processing combined into a software suite.
