Dr. Preetham Kumar obtained his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India in 1992.  He worked as a Research Engineer/Lecturer in the RF Microwave Laboratory at UC Davis and as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at CSUS from 1993-1999.  He joined CSUS on a full time basis in August 1999.   His areas of interest are RF and Microwave Engineering, with emphasis on the design of conformal antenna arrays for medical applications such as the treatment of cancer and the development of RF passive and active devices for wireless communication systems.
