DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering offers degrees in combined Electrical and Electronic Engineering B.S. degree accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accrediation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET). Electrical engineering is the study of electric power distribuition, motors and generators. Electronic engineering is the study of robotics, communications, circuits, electromagnetic fields and digital and analog hardware.
Students receive a thorough grounding in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and engineering science during their first four semesters. Engineering design and applications are stressed in upper division courses. Prospective students are urged to discuss their plans as early as possible with their high school or community college counselor. The E&EE Department office is available for individual advising and encourages all students, both prospective and enrolled to contact us.
