Computer Science Repeat Policy
Department policy allows only two attempts at any Computer Science course taken on this campus.
- At the beginning of each semester, each of your instructors will check to see how many times you have taken that particular course.
- If you have already taken the course twice, you will be required to obtain a waiver of this limit.
- Fill out the department's "Petition to Take a Computer Science Course More Than Two Times."
- Be sure to follow the instructions on the form.
- Also fill out the "Repeat Grade Replacement Petition" for Admissions and Records.
- In the case of multiple repeats (including other institutions), University policy dictates that the third time you take the course, all attempts (and all subsequent attempts) will be averaged together in your GPA calculation.
