Quotes from student evaluation comments Spring 2005:
"Overall this class was excellent. Professor was very helpful in answering all our questions and to get a good understanding of the subject." [CSC 237, taught by Dr. Behnam Arad]
"I liked how the class time was spent reviewing recent articles or other issues relevant to us. I really liked the lecture that went over oral presentations." [CSC 190, taught by Mr. Robert Buckley]
"Best teacher ever. This guy has never failed to provide useful and interesting information, no matter how complex the question. His area of expertise extends well beyond what the book covers." [CSC 139, taught by Dr. Senad Busovaca]
"Very helpful to students. Very inteligent [sic] and explains things well." [CSC 205, taught by Dr. Weide Chang]
"Instructor teaches the subject extremely well and keeps it interesting. Assignments are challenging and well integrated with lecture." [CSC 133, taught by Dr. John Clevenger]
"The diagrams and drawings on the board are very good and helped me understand the material very well. The lectures were well-planned and good...I really enjoy this class, even though I wasn't really interested in it before this semester. I got good insight into how computers really work." [CSC 137, taught by Dr. Nik Faroughi]
"Great enthusiasm, made class enjoyable. Subject matter was expressed very clearly. Overall awesome semester of learning." [CPE 185, taught Dr. Isaac Ghansah]
"Professor Gordon is an excellent professor. His lectures are well thought out and easy to understand. All explainations [sic] are completely explained. He should teach all my computer science courses." [CSC 134, taught by Dr. V. Scott Gordon]
"Professor Jiang understands the subject very well. Her lectures were always informative and helpful in understanding." [CSC 133, taught by Dr. Bolan Jiang]
"I strongly recommend her as a teacher to all my fellow students and I wish CSC department will hire more teachers like her." [CSC 174, taught by Dr. Ying Jin]
"Your preparation for this class is excellent, your lecture notes are well designed and helpfull [sic]." [CPE 138, taught by Dr. Ju-Yeon Jo]

"Teacher encourages class participation and students to think [rather] than to just listen and write down notes." [CSC 28, taught by Dr. Ted Krovetz]
"This class was very helpful and I like the way Dr. Lan teaches the class because he allow[s] us to try the material learned in class...instead of just telling us the answer like other professors do. This class was very helpful." [CSC 35, taught by Dr. Kwai-Ting Lan]
"My favorite course this semester. Great job. I really enjoyed this class. Hope I get to see you again in some more advanced courses." [CSC 136, taught by Dr. Meiliu Lu]
"Dr. Mitchell is a great instructor. He handles questions very well, both in class and outside of class. The class emailing list was very helpful in clarifying assignments and getting questions answered quickly." [CSC 204, taught by Dr. William Mitchell]
"Great teacher. Awesome explainer. Really cares for students." [CSC 130, taught by Dr. Jinsong Ouyang]
"Radimsky is one of the best CSC teachers I've had...Interactive teaching style is well used. She explains the material much better than the book. Lecture notes pretyped is a big plus - it allows me to focus on the concepts and not documenting the material." [CSC 132, taught by Dr. Anne-Louise Radimsky]
"I wasn't looking forward to taking a testing class. I had previously taken CSC 131 with Salem and I knew he was a great professor, but testing sounded a little boring. After finishing the semester, I am really glad I took the class. He made it very interesting and he was a professor who always made himself available." [CSC 179, taught by Dr. Ahmed Salem]
"Professor Zhang's enthusiasm and knowledge as well as genuine interest in helping each and every student makes her an excellent teacher." [CSC 201, taught by Dr. Cui Zhang]
