Engineering and computer science majors at CSUS are required to complete a one year senior project before graduation. The project must be a significant learning experience. Many students have done their projects in response to a request by a company or government organization to automate or computerize some aspect of their operation.
The senior project is first and foremost a learning experience. The students work in teams of 2 to 5 students. Students meet weekly or biweekly with the sponsor. Students frequently deliver very sophisticated solutions to complex problems but there is no guarantee of a functioning product being delivered at the end of 12 months.
If you would like to sponsor a senior project please select the major from which you wish to sponsor a team. Below you will find a detailed description of what constitutes a senior project for each of the CSUS College of Engineering and Computer Science majors listed.
