Dual Opportunity -Company Internship and Peer Coach Opportunity
Returning E&CS students, who are currently enrolled in upper division courses, are encouraged to take
advantage of a great opportunity to make money, work for a local company, and coach freshmen and
sophomore students to success in engineering and computer science disciplines. This is a multifaceted
opportunity for CSUS students!
In partnership with many of the most respected E&CS companies and public agencies, the College of
Engineering and Computer Science is launching an innovative Student Success Program that includes a
STUDENT PEER COACHING component. You will join an industry sponsor that aligns perfectly with your major
and who will provide you an ON-CAMPUS Student Peer Coach salary during the school year. During school
breaks you will work in an off-campus paid internship for your sponsor company. It doesn’t get
much better than this.
Use your college experience to increase the retention and graduation rate for E&CS Freshmen and
Sophomores AND YOU GET PAID $11 to $15/hour!
Even if you are already employed by an E&CS industry employer, take 5 MINUTES and complete the Student
Peer Coach EZ Application
Obtain an EZ application email peercoach@ecs.csus.edu. Submit the EZ application for a paid Student Peer
Coach position.
When you invest 5 MINUTES to complete the Student Peer Coach EZ Application, someone affiliated with the
College will contact you by mid-June to help you take the next step.
Individuals selected will go through a three day training session in late August. Peer coaching begins
when school begins on September 4. Applicants who apply early will be paired with companies for the
potential of a summer internship in government or industry.
