Hello Cici Wanted to update you. Franchise Tax Board is still using the statewide Associate Programmer Analyst listthat is given by SPB. FTB is only giving IT promotional exams for the other classifications this fiscalyear. We are only doing promotions for the next 6 months. Hiring is on hold because of the budget. But, we willstill open our exams. When the first of the year comes around....watch out!! Lots of hiring!!! There is a entry level business exam open at this time. For those that did not do well on the ITexams....this is another option. They can come in at a business entry level into state service and thentake the promotional exams or take a training and development assignment or laterally transfer into theIT classifications, later. Many of the students have done this in the past. But, they are promotedpretty quickly once they show their talents. Sally Bennett
