Finally, this is a Bring Your Own Computer (B.Y.O.C.) event! If you need a ride to campus on Saturday, post in the comments below!
Computer setup and practice games will start at 12:00pm, noon, on Saturday in Kemper Hall on campus. Arrive on time to secure a good spot. The tournaments will run until their conclusion, estimated for early evening. Free play will resume after that.
Here are some other LAN tournament basics you shouldn’t forget:
- Ethernet cable, the longer the better.
- Power strip with enough outlets for your computer plus one.
- Headphones. Speakers are not allowed.
- Extension cord is a plus, circuit breaker outages are a pain.
- Routers and switches, if you have, are a plus to ensure you get connected.
- Do not bring alcohol, of any variety.
If you have any questions please post below, or feel free to contact the event coordinators Sam Vu at firstname.lastname@example.org or Timothy Gandionco at email@example.com.
